Description: Calophyllum inophyllum is an evergreen tree that yields nut kernel where Tamanu oil are extracted from.

Characteristics: Tamanu oil is a slightly thick, luxurious oil with a distinctive nutty and earthy aroma. It is dark green, slightly brown colour. Tamanu oil may separate naturally at cold temperatures. 

Properties: Anti-inflammatory, Anti-microbial, Antibiotic, Anti-oxidant.

Constituents: Oleic acid (41.4%), Palmitic acid (14.5%), Linoleic acid (29.7%), Linolenic acid (0.2%), Stearic acid (12.9%).

Uses:

Tamanu is rich in linoleic acid, oleic acid calophyllic acid and lipids, it also has anti-fungal properties, making it a great choice for leave on products such as balms, body butters, lotions.

The linoleic acid found in tamanu oil is astringent and toning, making it a perfect choice for both acne-prone and combination skin and mature skin alike. Tamanu oil has a comedogenic rating of 2, meaning it is very unlikely to clog pores.

A versatile ingredient, Tamaun is also suitable for incorporation into soaps and haircare products. In cold-process soapmaking, Tamanu is typically used at 5 percent or less. For haircare, Tamaua can be used as a ingredient in shampoos, leave on conditioner, or scalp message oil to prevent dandruff and promote hair growth.

Safety: Should not be used neat on broken skin, or open wounds.

 

Returns and exchanges are accepted within 15 days of delivery. Please contact us within 15 days of delivery if you would like to return or exchange any of the items in your order. You must contact us before shipping your order back. Delivery date is determined by the date your tracking information says it was delivered.

We are able to accept unopened/unused items for return within 15 days of being shipped that have their original label, and safety seal intact. Once a product has been opened or altered in any way it cannot be returned. Sale, sample, or discounted items are not eligible for return. All returns need to be approved by management.

When returning a item, please ensure that it is packaged with the same care it arrived to you. In the event that the return item arrives to us damaged we will not be able to provide any refund.

We do not refund shipping. You will be responsible for the cost of return postage. We require that you provide a tracking number for all return items.

Once your return arrives to our warehouse and the item has been assessed, you will receive an email notification through our online store that a refund has been issued.

PLEASE NOTE: All returns are subject to a restocking fee of $10.00 or 20%, whichever is a greater amount.
